A Compassionate, Clinical Path to Feeling Better—Faster.
You deserve care that sees you as a whole person.
I’ve spent over two decades in integrative medicine helping people feel well in their bodies and lives. Clinical hypnotherapy is where the emotional and behavioral pieces finally clicked into place for my clients—calmer, clearer, and more in control.
Credentials & Background
- Doctor of Acupuncture & TCM: DAOM, L.Ac
- Functional Medicine Practitioner & Holistic Health Counselor
- Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist
- Polyvagal Certifications: Polyvagal Therapy and Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery
My Approach
- Safety & Trust: We go at your pace, with consent and clarity at each step. You stay aware and in control throughout the session.
- Skills-based nervous system coaching
We map your stress patterns (overdrive, shutdown, “freeze,” people-pleasing) and build practical tools to return to steadiness. -
Guided hypnosis for calm + change
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention. We use it to support relaxation, mental rehearsal, and healthier automatic responses. - Integration: Simple practices between sessions to lock in the change.
Values
Integrity, inclusivity, compassion, and practical, sustainable change.
Dr. Gabriella Rivera, L.Ac, DAOM, CFMP, CCH
Dr. Gabby has spent over 25 years in holistic and integrative medicine and is the founder of Front Porch Acupuncture and Functional Medicine in Savannah, Georgia.
She earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University (Santa Cruz/San Jose, CA), with advanced training in orthopedics, and she’s nationally certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM).
Along the way, she’s followed her deep curiosity about what helps people feel safe in their bodies again—especially after stress, burnout, and trauma. She’s trained as a Holistic Health Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, holds a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) credential through Functional Medicine University, and is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (Boulder Hypnotherapy Institute).
Today, her work is strongly shaped by Polyvagal Theory and trauma recovery. Dr. Gabby blends guided hypnosis, nervous system education, and gentle, body-based practices to help clients build real regulation skills—so calm isn’t just something you hope for, it’s something you can practice and return to.
